Ruth D. Pereira

Ruth D. Pereira (Ourense, 1972) is a wardrobe designer and theatre, cinema and television costume designer.

In theatre she has carried out work for, amongst other companies: the Galician Dramatic Society, the Sarabela Theatre and the Sapristi Theatre. She also designs the wardrobe for the show Vacuo, the Galician Choreographic Centre’s first own production directed by Maruxa Salas, and of the piece Caracola (Conch) by Neodans.

Amongst her work for television, cinema and advertising one can highlight her participation in the Galician Television period series As leis de Celavella, for which she received the Award for the Best Costume Design in the years 2003, 2004 and 2005.

In 2007 she received the Silver Biznaga Award in the Málaga Film Festival for the Best Costume Design for the film El menor de los males (The Least of All Evil) by Antonio Fernández.
