Igor Goyena Mediavilla

He gained his first training grant in 1992 for the Víctor Ullate Dance Centre in Madrid. This first step was followed by grants for the Ion Beitia Dance Centre in Bilbao, for the Rotterdamse Dansacademie in Rotterdam and for the José Uruñuela Conservatory in Vitoria, which he left in 2001. In Vacuo he then went on to form part of the Region of Valencia Choreographic Centre.

From 1998 to 1999 Igor performed within the UD and UC educational dance programme in the Rotterdamse Dansacademie of the Netherlands. Between 2002 and 2005 he carried out the Workshop courses with the White Oak Dance Project and collaborated with the National Ballet of Cuba (Shakespeare y sus máscaras (Shakespeare and his Masks)) and with the Metros Company (Congelado en el tiempo (Frozen in Time), by Ramón Oller).

A dancer of the Valencia Choreographic Centre (2002-05) where he performed in the pieces Animalatea, Acirfa y Aman by Patrick de Bana; El aroma del tiempo (The Flavour of Time) and Jump in the Dark by Leonardo Santos; Impresiones fugaces (Fleeting Impressions) by Will Swanson; Buitk by Thomas Noone; Dis/ruption/inter/fear and Lacrimosa dies illa (Tearful Days Island) by Inma Rubio.

He has also been a dancer for the New English Contemporary Ballet (2006).

Likewise he has created four choreographies: Batiscafo (Bathyscaphe 1997), Recuerdos (Memories 1998), Titania 2002 and Sequenza IX (9th Sequence 2004).
